OLD DETROIT FIRE DEPARTMENT 1911 Packard photo picture print for sale. This is a classic old DETROIT FIRE DEPARTMENT photo of a 1911 vintage Packard with the firemen dressed in uniform as a young boy watches them leave the firehouse in Detroit. There was quite a bit of controversy around this time as the original fire house horses were being replaced more and more by mechanical vehicles. Many thought that the fire vehicles were too undependable and not as dependable as horses! This is an excellent quality image, having been made from the original very large 8x10 negative.
