PRESIDENT HOOVER PARADE Detroit 1931 photo picture print for sale. This sepia toned DETROIT WOODWARD AVENUE vintage photo is made from the professionally restored Original black and white 1931 negative/photo showing thousands of veterans and citizens welcoming President Hoover when he arrived in Detroit to address The American Legion. Woodward Avenue is filled with confetti and streamers (floating across the bottom area of this photo). Further up the street we can see JL Hudson's Department store with the World's Largest Flag displayed on the side of it. This is a wonderful historical Campus Martius photo showing streetcars and the convertibles traveling along the Parade Route in 1931.

The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals.
